Thank you. We lived in Brookings Oregon moved for varies reason..however the 8 years I was there..something kept saying get off the coast. Of course there are 4 major faults near by. I've been following for a while..I think the coast is gonna pop soon. Thats just me..

I watched a video with a simulation of the southern end of the San Andreas Fault having a 7.8 magnitude quake and it showed the shaking in the Anaheim/Los Angeles areas for over 2 minutes and I asked her what was our plan if that should ever happen. She said that it's not going to happen and hopefully she's right. But if it does happen she said that we would just fly to the Philippines and I told her that there's not going to be an airport to fly out of because LAX would be a mess. God only knows what the road conditions would be like. Then she said that the government would help take care of us which wouldn't happen all that fast in my opinion. Plus she would be in a complete panic mode. It could take days or weeks to get help depending on how much damage would be caused by it. I think that she feels that there wasn't much damage from the 7.1 magnitude back in 2019 but from my understanding the San Andreas fault would cause much more damage. She doesn't like to listen to me when I want to plan for emergencies. If it happens I'm not going to be very happy with here especially if the apartment building we live in gets red tagged. She just doesn't think about what can happen and the problems that it can cause.
